William "Bill" Mason Alexander Jr., 45, of Amarillo died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004, in Houston

Those close to Bill remember him as a loving father, son, brother and friend.  Bill was the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back.  He had a great sense of humour and always had a great time in any situation.  His philosophy in life was to "live life to the fullest."  He had a strong passion for his family.  Nieces and nephews always looked forward to Uncle Bill's holiday visits with great anticipation.

Bill worked at Fabricating Specialties Inc. as the senior vice president of business development.  His former occupation was an underwater welder, diving in the Gulf of Mexico.

He was born June 9, 1958, in Boulder, Colo.  He grew up in Amarillo.  Bill attended Tascosa High School and graduated from New Mexico Military Institute.  He attended the University of Texas for two years and served for a short time in the Marine Corps.

Survivors include a son, William Mason Alexander III; his mother, Adele Sherrill Alexander; his father, William Mason Alexander and wife, Carol.
