It is with a very heavy heart that I let our class know about the passing of Ginger Phillips Hipp. Ginger passed away on September 29, 2023 in San Diego, CA surrounded by her loving family and friends. After graduating from Tascosa she went on to attend and graduate from The University of Texas El Paso (UTEP). Continuing her education goals, she obtained her Masters from San Diego State University.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Michael, sons Kyle Phillip (wife Kristen), Parker Jonathan, and daughter Madison Kalani Hipp. She is also survived by her sister, Rebecca (Becky) Whitaker, grand dog, Truffle, and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by family and friends from across the globe.

One of her favorite quotes was “I got my energy from the soils of Texas”.

Ginger lived a brave and beautiful life while battling metastatic breast cancer.
