Sheri Denise Howard

Sheri Denise Howard, 55, of Amarillo died Monday, Aug. 13, 2013.

Sheri was born April 15, 1958, in Amarillo to Billy and De Anna Stone. She married Timothy Howard on June 8, 1996, in Amarillo. She worked as a dental assistant before joining Delta Airlines until the airline left Amarillo, and then worked at Pantex for 18 years.

She was a member of Church of Christ at The Colonies. Sheri lived a dynamic and full life, devoted primarily to her family. Sheri enjoyed many hobbies including gardening, trout fishing and going to the mountains. Her beloved grandfather, Paul Cook, taught her to fish at a very early age, and her most recent fishing trip was three weeks ago to Lake City, Colo., with her family. She was known by her family, friends and co-workers for her compassion for helping others in need.

Survivors include her husband, Timothy; her children, Tanner, Anthony, Terrance and Kayleigh; a grandson; a sister, Kimmy Austin; her parents, Billy and DeAnna Stone; an aunt, Darline Jonason; and a nephew, Joshua Austin.
